Creating your “brand” doesn’t have to be expensive or difficult. In fact, you can do it yourself with free tools. I have, and I’m no graphic artist. Ask anyone.
The goal is to have decent brand assets during your pre-launch and launch phases while you prove that the business is viable and will make money. Some won’t – so spending $5,000 on branding isn’t important now.
If the business takes off, then take some of the profits and hire someone to take the basic concept we’re about to create and upgrade it.
Going through this exercise will clarify your brand in your own mind and on paper. This will save you both money and frustration when you’re ready to work with a trained expert designer.
